New Southeast District Detachment

The Southeast District Detachment will be a newly constructed building similar in size and function to the recently constructed St. Leonard Detachment. This new Detachment will allow for various units to be located in the same building, increasing overall effectiveness and efficiency, and will reduce the number of different leases by consolidating various office spaces including the current Southeast District Detachment, the Southeast District Policing Office (DPO), Major Crime Unit (MCU), Irishtown Detachment and Southeast District Courts Record Section. The project will provide current, up to date building and security standards to support RCMP investigative activities in the area of jurisdiction, while being able to better serve the community.  The project includes the acquisition of a new parcel of land.  Based on various operational requirements, it was determined that the optimal location for the new building would be in the vicinity of Salisbury, New Brunswick.
