New Shared Dock for 2626 and 2632 Panorama Drive

The proposed Project is the installation of a new recreational dock that will be shared between two adjacent property owners on Panorama Drive, North Vancouver.

The proposed dock includes the following features:

  • A 36.6 meter long and 1.4 meter wide aluminum pier starting at the edge of the applicants' waterfront property line and positioned perpendicular to the shoreline. The pier will be supported by four steel posts from the beach and two steel piles from the water (i.e., from below the low water line).

  • A 11.2 meter long and 4.8 meter wide floating dock secured in place by two steel piles (installed adjacent to the dock)

  • A 16.8 meter long ramp connecting the pier to the floating dock

Creosote wood preservative will not be used for any dock components, and all structures will provide sufficient light penetration, i.e., at least 43%, to the sea surface.

Construction will require approximately five workdays. Project components that require a barge for construction, e.g., pile installation, will occur during high tide. Project components that require beach access, e.g., pier post installation, will occur during low tide.
