Shirley Road Upgrades and Realignment Project at Swan Creek

This Project involves the activities and components related to the realignment and upgrade of Shirley Road which will encompass the new construction of approximately 1 kilometer (km) of new right-of-way and the decommissioning of approximately 1.2 km of the existing Shirley Road Alignment. The new alignment will be built to the required high Main Service Route (MSR ) VPD (vehicles per day) Geometric Road Standard to meet current and future DND training needs.

Latest update

August 11, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
