Pipeline Riser on Sunchild IR 202

The proposed pipeline riser is associated with an existing pipeline from E & NW-35-042-10W5M to SW-02-043-10W5M (RW-3817). The riser will be constructed entirely within existing TAQA pipeline right-of-ways. . All mitigation and construction practices prescribed in the CEAA- Environmental Assessment Process – Screening Report for RW-3817, as well as additional measures outlined in the Env Reviwe Form, will be applied to the construction of the riser and temporary workspaces located within 03-02-043-10W5M.

All oil & gas projects originating on First Nation Lands must first be approved-in-principle by a quorum of the Band council, before the project proponent can conduct the environmental impact assessment work, and formally apply to the Federal government for approval.  The Application is then subject to a  comprehensive environmental review by Indian Oil & Gas Canada.
