Skinner's Pond Copewall Installation

The entrance run to Skinners Pond Small Craft Harbour is protected on the north side by structure #401, a steel sheet pile structure with a concrete deck. The SSP has deteriorated significantly and is now in need of repair or replacement in order to maintain the safety of the structure. DFO-SCH is proposing to install a concrete copewall in place of the SSP to stabilize and prolong the life of structure 401. The copewall will be installed within the same footprint of the existing SSP by sliding concrete panels along the face of the SSP and securing them in place. New copewall will be installed for the entire length of structure #401, which is approximately 50 meters long. There will be no excavation associated with the works and the footprint of the structure will not be increased.
