Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) Coal Harbour Marina Expansion

RVYC have proposed the Coal Harbour Marina Expansion Project to expand and upgrade their marina and facilities. The marina is situated within Coal Harbour, immediately to the west of Deadman's Island and east of the Vancouver Rowing Club. Stanley Park is immediately to the north. The proposed project is primarily to expand the marina and increase the water lot lease area by 13.3 per cent to accommodate an additional 47 slips. The total project area is 76,930 metre squared / 828,068 square feet, which includes the water lot expansion area of 9,040 metres squared / 97,306 square feet and the existing water lot of 67,890 metres squared / 730,762 square feet.

In August 2022 the VFPA decided to deny the permit application for this project and so did not proceed with a determination under S. 82 of the Impact Assessment Act.
