North Thompson Rail Terminal Development Project

North Thompson Rail Terminals Inc. is proposing the construction and operation of a rail yard facility located in Kamloops, British Columbia. As proposed, the North Thompson Rail Terminal Development Project would include 41 rail tracks totaling 14.6 kilometres in length, and would connect to the Canadian National Railway Company's mainline located on the eastern shore of the North Thompson River. The project would also include facilities for railcar loading, switching, storage and repair, as well as infrastructure upgrades and a site access road. Once constructed, the project would occupy an area of approximately 27 hectares.

February 15, 2019 - The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency issued its environmental assessment determination and decided that an environmental assessment of the designated project is not required.
